iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 - Rival The High End Smartphones - Technology - Cell Phones

One of the most successful devices to enter into the smartphone industry has been the iPhone 4, but one can definitely say that it too cannot handle the competitions offered by the Samsung Galaxy S2. It is the latest mobile phone from Samsung and it is creating a lot of buzz within the industry solely because of having beaten the iPhone 4. However, it does not take long to realise that Apple has always been at the forefront of making high-end smart phones, and they are just about to come up with a replacement model for the iPhone 4. It is going to be called as the iPhone 5 and Apple are set to announce this phone soon.

Replacing the iPhone 4 is going to be quite a task given that it is a phone that finally showed a tremendous improvement over the previous iPhone 3GS version. Emulating the success of the iPhone 4 would require features out of this world in the same way that the Samsung Galaxy S2 offered. However, the iPhone 4 is certainly not the class leading object when it comes to the display size given that the display measures only 3.5 inches in size. This is extremely small in comparison with the display of the Samsung Galaxy S2, which comes in at 4.3 inches. However, the iPhone 4 manages to keep the differential quite a low due to the usage of the retina display technology and the IPS panel.

It is only after the introduction of the Super AMOLED Plus technology that Samsung has been able to catch up with the IPS panels viewing angle. Prior to that, the IPS panel technology used to be at the forefront of offering incredible viewing angles, which makes up for great viewing experience on the iPhone 4. Apple could decide to retain both these features in the iPhone 5 given the importance that they played in the popularity of the iPhone 4. The iPhone 5, however, will be changing for a few specifications of the iPhone 4. This certainly includes the processor department, where the iPhone 5 will be offering the 1.2 GHz dual core processor that has already been seen in the Apple iPad 2. Even though there are no surprises with regard to the processor, the operating system that the phone can handle is something of a surprise.

It is the iOS 5 that will be present in the iPhone 5. Aside from featuring a number of new social networking integration as standard, the operating system will offer the ability to replicate the best feature of the Android operating system: the notification bar. The iPhone 5 will also provide excellent imaging capabilities by improving on the five megapixel unit present in the iPhone 4. This camera is widely acknowledged to be one of the best in the smartphone segment, but the increased megapixel count will allow it to function even better. The iPhone 4 is available for around 35 per month, but that price could drop following the iPhone 5 launch.
