Ever since Apple released its first Apple iPhone people have always looked for what Apple will be doing next. The way that everyone awaits the release date of their new product lines with such eager anticipation it is almost as if we have all been subjected to some form of mind control with only a few people escaping to the Android or Blackberry platforms. Looking from the outside in people assume all iPhone lovers are crazy, while everyone who doesn't have an iPhone are viewed as missing out on the best gadget ever.
It is hard to contemplate such a passion for an old Nokia phone. Everyone who knows me knows that I like Apple and I have been the butt of many a joke because of it but with the iPhone 5 release date almost upon us I have seen a change in my anti-Apple friends. Friends who have had Blackberry's and Android phones just to stay away from the Apple bandwagon have been asking me over the last few weeks about the iPhone 5 as they are considering joining the fold and finally embracing the device that is changing the world.
They want to know what it will look like, what new features it will have but most interestingly they ask "Do you know the iPhone 5 release date?" Why are they now asking? Why are people considering staying with battered old phones rather than upgrading to new Android phones? Why are my friends fixing their phones with tape praying that they will last until Apple release its new creation?
The reason is because Apple are the masters of innovation. Look around you and compare what the world was like before the iPhone. The iPhone has moved us from clunky push button phones with LCD screens and games like Snake to capacitive touch screens, true video calling technology, and world class applications where there truly seems to be an App for Everything.
The leap in technology was immense and would be a dream of science fiction in the 80's and 90's. No longer do we have to carry an MP3 player, a Phone, a Camera, a diary or even in some cases a computer. We have access to information where ever we are in the world. Only the other day my son and I replaced a coolant system on my Mercedes using only a socket set, some coolant and our trusty iPhone. With the launch of the original iPhone Google really became our friend.
So what can we expect from the new iPhone 5?
At the time of writing this article we just do not know is the answer, everything is speculation. This is part of Apple's grand plan with new releases generally being treated as secret as a countries military would guard its secrets. As with all secrets though some do leak out, whether this is by design or not on Apple know the answer. Over the last few days photos of a new model iPhone are starting to appear on the internet, Chinese manufacturers have started distributing cases they claim are for the iPhone 5 and so as our expectation rises to a new peak, as the world braces itself for Apples latest creation the question on everyone's lips is "What is the iPhone 5 release date?"
