Apple has been incredibly successful in each and every single version of the iPhone that has launched to date. Even though the official announcement regarding this new phone has not come yet, it is highly anticipated that this phone will soon be replacing the Apple iPhone 4.

This is due to the competition that has grown to extra lengths to make their phones be very competitive in terms of dimensions, despite having a much larger screen. As a result, Apple seems to have introduced the 3.7 inch or the 4 inch display in the phone, which is going to be made possible by the usage of the edge to edge technology. This will allow Apple to use the edges of the phone, which will result in an increase in the screen size without actually increasing the dimensions of the phone. Once again, Apple is leading the other companies from the front in terms of this technology as well.
The iPhone 5 is not going to be offering the 4.3 inch unit, but the 4 inch unit will be a great feature to having the new iPhone. Also, it is expected to offer the latest version of the retina display technology, which has been improved in order to compete with the likes of the Bravia Mobile technology and the AMOLED display technology. The iPhone 5 is also expected to offer a great solution to the antenna problems that has been plaguing the iPhone 4 since its launch. The company has managed to do this by reverting back to the metal casing instead of the plastic and glass panels used in the iPhone 4. This has obviously led to increased signal reception, which will be pleasing everybody. The iPhone 5 is also going to make an eight megapixel camera, which will finally be in tune with the competition in terms of megapixel count.
However, as this camera is being made by Sony, it is expected to be much better than the rest of the competition put together. The iPhone 5 is also expected to offer increased storage option, with the possibility of the 64 GB memory option looking to arrive in the phone. One will have no troubles accessing this amount of memory due to the usage of the A5 dual core processor, which made its debut on the Apple iPad 2. This 1 GHz unit is expected to compete with the rest of the dual core phones. The iPhone 5 is expected later this year.
