iPhone 5 Offering Great Specifications - Technology - Cell Phones

Apple is usually known for launching its next generation of the much popular iPhone brand during the months of June, but the year 2011 has not so far seen the sight of the iPhone 5. Even though the name iPhone 5 has not been confirmed by Apple yet, many predict this to become the name of the next generation iPhone. However, one can be pretty sure that the name is probably the last thing that you will be caring about, as the phone comes loaded with technology that has not been witnessed before. It was the same case with the original iPhone, and in various other subsequent generations, and it seems to be the same case with the iPhone 5 as well.

The iPhone 5 has not been officially confirmed by Apple, but many rumours predicted that this phone could use the edge-to-edge technology. This has been used by many television manufacturers to much success in their models. So far, they are yet to make an appearance in the industry, but will finally get a chance to show their technology in the iPhone 5. The retina display technology is expected to continue, but it will have to deal with the increasing this screen size thanks to the aforementioned technology. The screen size increase is likely to be around 0.5 inches, which means that the iPhone 5 could feature a 4-inch touch screen display.

The iPhone 5 could also feature the 1 GHz dual core processor found in the Apple iPad 2. You may think that it helps to keep the costs low, which seems to have persuaded Apple into going for an processor that is already present. However, as you may recognise, the 1 GHz unit is one of the most powerful in the industry today. This along with the 1 GB of expected RAM should ensure more than adequate performance in the phone. The presence of the NFC support should add more credibility to the phone in terms of the connectivity features to the phone, as it has faced criticism in the past for not providing the latest in terms of connectivity. The other options with regard to connectivity do seem to be in line with the latest trend, which means that you could possibly see the advent of the 4G connectivity option in the iPhone 5.

Another important aspect that needs to be addressed is the camera. Even though the current iPhone is praised for the quality of the camera, there is still room for plenty of improvement, which can be done when you take a look at the competition is like the Nokia N8 and the Samsung Galaxy S2. Hence, one can expect a lot of changes in terms of the features present in the camera department, now features an eight megapixel unit instead of the five megapixel unit previously seen. The iPhone 5 could be launched as early as in September, despite rumours earlier suggesting that the launch date was a long way off.
