When is the Release Date for iPhone 5? - Website Promotion

This has to be the most anticipated product since......well....the last Apple product! Due to the styling, functionality and the unique iconic status of the Apple brand, the buzz on what new features will be included in the iPhone 5 is getting stronger every day.

One of our challenges, as a retailer in smartphone and tablet accessories, is when a new device is launched we find out about them when everyone else does! Literally within hours of the device being launched, we get enquiries for accessories for these new exciting gadgets and we have nothing to sell. Ho hum.

So when will it be released? Apple love to surprise the market so we really know no more than you, BUT we are going to put our neck out on this one and go with 7TH SEPTEMBER 2011. Why? Well, we think Apple like the first week of September because since 2005 they have been launching iPods on the first Wednesday after Labour Day and as there is no significant iPod release expected this year (although that really would be a surprise if Apple announced a new iPod) and the date is perfect for retailers to order and sell in the Christmas season, it makes sense to launch the iPhone 5 alongside the release of iOS 5, which Apple have already stated will be this autumn.

So what will be in the latest release? Rumours are circulating everywhere and some are just plain daft (heard the one about the iPhone 5 having two screens, one on the front and one on the back?) but one thing is for sure, there will be more fancy pants features than the iPhone 4! Here are our thoughts on that we believe make sense and are very likely to be in the next release.

And here they are;

- Pay with your iPhone 5!: At last, the latest chipset (Near Field Communication chips) will allow you to pay for products and services with your phone. To you and me, this means we could pop down to our local coffee shop and buy our de-caff latte and blueberry muffin with just a swipe of our mobile phone. Nice!

- More storage: Having offered both 16GB and 32GB since the original launch of the iPhone back in 2009, it would be rude of them not to launch the iPhone 5 without a 64GB storage capacity

- Face Recognition: A neat security feature is to use their Face Recognition software to uniquely identify the owner of the iPhone 5 and make it damn difficult for undesirables to steal it.

- Batteries that last even longer: Now no one likes a dead battery, ideally we want our phones to stay awake as long as we do. The iPhone 5 should have up to 14 hours of talk time on the 3G and 7 hours on the 4G.

- Screen: This could be a really exciting development as we hear that they may be increasing the screen size to the very edge of the scratch resistant glass! Maybe not on all sides but possibly on three would be so cool.

- iOS 5: Very likely that Apple will introduce iPhone 5 with the latest operating system

- Stronger Signal: We think in an attempt to banish the bad PR that surrounded the iPhone 4, Apple will make the signal strength one of the best in the smartphone market.

- Video Chat: With 4G, video chat should be a fun addition Even Thinner: The new iPhone 5 appears to have been on a cheeky little diet and is now at its thinnest ever.

- A5 Dual Core Processor : Apple is looking to introduce the A5 Dual Core Processor with the iPhone 5 for outstanding video quality and lightening fast multi-tasking.

- Micro sd and FM Radio?: There is a good chance these too will be added as they up the ante with the competition

One thing is sure that when Apple do launch the iPhone 5 it will yet again redefine the standard for excellence and every other manufacture will be scrambling to catch up.
