iPhone 5 Release Date ? - Internet

Misplaced. Adrift. And no, were not speaking about the Miami Heat last evening. By making no reference of the iPhone 5 this week, Steve Jobs has still left its release date hanging, with no official indications as to when the anticipate the next generation iPhone to show up. However from where were sitting, all tracks lead to the 2nd week of September 2011 for an iPhone 5 release date. Now can we be so sure, you ask? Well absolutely nothing is certain in this manner, as people who had been expecting the iPhone 5 or even the imaginary iPhone 4S to have come up this week learned the hard way. But heres why smart money is on the iPhone 5 surfacing at the end of summer.Well start by reducing the extremes. If the iPhone 5 were seeing a release date in June or even July, the gadget could have been introduced this week. As it is, Apple understands the iPhone 5 is far off enough that it didnt want to hurt iPhone 4 product sales in the mean time. That means, logically, no sooner th an August. On the far end of the pole you will find people who are claiming the iPhone 5 wont arise until 2012. But thats absurd now, in light of the fact that its related operating system was just publicly previewed for developers and is clearly months, not next-year, away. The only other situation might be one in which Apple releases iOS 5 this year for iPhone 4 and 3GS users, without a new iPhone to go along with it - and thats something were not buying into on any level. So that indicates that the iPhone 5 surfaces this year when iOS 5 surfaces. And Apples history shows that when its delivering new hardware later in the calendar year, those product launches hardly ever happen later than September. In fact Apple has a conventional press conference the second week of September each year to announce the latest iPod lineup, together with some curveballs like Apple TV thrown in over the years. But with the iPod turning out to be less relevant of late in light of the rise of th e iPhone, that September event has started to shed its luster; the only product released of great curiosity is the latest iPod touch, and even that tends to simply be a sidekick of that summers new iPhone. So the most likely scenario now is one in which the iPhone 5 surfaces at the September 2011 event and becomes the centerpiece of it, with the iPod touch 5 riding shotgun and the revs of the iPod nano and iPod shuffle (and the end of the iPod classic?) simply along for the ride. It would restore relevance to Apples previously hotly anticipated September press conferences, it would give the iPhone 5 an early enough stage so as to be fully in place at retail, in the aftermarket, and in the minds of consumers heading into the holiday shopping season. And it would give Apple the opportunity to present the iPhone 5, the iPod touch 5, and iOS 5 as all part of the same family, and all seeing a rebirth on the same day.Got a different guess for the iPhone 5 release date? Share it be low. But from where were sitting, all roads lead to an iPhone 5 release date the second week of September. Tell us why were right or wrong. Heres more on the iPhone 5.
